Having said that we do need to use some formatting when writing emails. In both the examples above did you notice all the white space (space with no text). This is very important and although it may not apply quite so much to a short email, I can guarantee people will not read through a page of close written text, especially when they are reading it on a monitor. Lets look at an example

So which one is not only easier to read but also more pleasing on the eyes? To me the one on the right wins hands down, and this is on a very short email. Imagine the effect if this was a couple of pages long and also with longer paragraphs. We don't want to put people off of reading our emails just because of the layout. A final consideration is the number of characters on each line |
